I teach IB Maths and most of my students come to me for AA HL when calculus or proof starts to feel messy. I’ve been tutoring it for several years and I’m quite big on showing more than one method, because that’s usually what helps things click. I also spend time on calculator use, notation, and the sort of small slips that cost marks in Paper 1 and Paper 2.

I’m an IB English tutor with a literature background, and I mostly help students who are stuck between having ideas and actually writing a strong essay. A lot of our lessons end up focused on structure, commentary, and choosing quotes properly rather than just collecting them. I also work with students on IO prep, especially when they need help making their points sound precise without overcomplicating them.

I teach HL and SL, with a lot of focus on stoichiometry, energetics, and organic chemistry, and I also help students tidy up IA ideas so they’re workable and not too ambitious for the time they actually have.

I’m an IB Physics tutor and most of my work is with students who understand the lesson at school, then get lost when they try the questions alone. I like teaching from examples and past-paper patterns, especially in mechanics, fields, and electricity. For HL students, I also spend time on explanation questions because that’s often where strong students drop easy marks without realising it.

Students often know the studies but aren’t sure how to use them well, so we work on building arguments that actually answer the command term. I especially enjoy the sociocultural and abnormal topics, and I also help with the IA, from choosing a simple replication idea through to making sense of the results section.

I’m an IB Economics tutor with a particular soft spot for micro. I like working with students who want clearer diagrams, tighter chains of reasoning, and less vague evaluation. A lot of my lessons are built around real exam questions because that’s the quickest way to see where the gaps are. I also help with commentaries, especially when students are unsure what the article is really letting them discuss.

I teach IB Business Management and I tend to work best with students who know the case study but struggle to turn that into a solid answer. We do a lot on command terms, application, and how to use the tools without forcing them in. I’ve also helped quite a few students with the IA, usually narrowing the research question and making sure the analysis stays practical rather than too descriptive.

I tutor IB Geography and I enjoy it because it’s one of those subjects where students usually know more than they think, they just need help organising it. I teach both the physical and human side of the course, but I especially like global change and urban environments. I also support students with fieldwork write-ups and the IA, particularly around choosing usable data and linking it back to the question properly.

I teach IB History and most of my students want help moving beyond a narrative answer. That usually means spending time on argument, selecting evidence properly, and making comparisons that don’t feel forced. I especially like teaching authoritarian states and the Cold War, and I often help with the historical investigation too, mainly when students are struggling to narrow the topic into something they can actually handle well.
